Professional Development Seminar for Teachers
The Roger Tory Peterson Institute is developing a new seminar to help teachers get the most out of their science curriculum. Digital cameras are everywhere and their capabilities for enhancing the process of scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary learning are enormous. RTPI's expert digital photographers and nature educators are working to develop both face-to-face and online seminars that explore the power of digital photography in the science classroom. Topics include ways to get the most out of your camera, image editing and storage software, using digital photography as a tool for propelling natural science inquiry and linking science with language arts and other disciplines. The seminar will be presented in both one-day face-to-face and 15 clock-hour online versions.
