Q: Do some crayfish carry their babies on their head?
A: To the best of my knowledge, they do not! I'm guessing that you saw one or two that crawled away from the tail and ended up on their mother's head? The babies are pretty good at staying under the tail at first but begin to wander a bit and finally leave their mother when old enough.
