Q: Do the birds die after they Barf up there food? What makes them wanto barf it up?

A: Stacey

No, birds don't die any more than you might die from throwing up. Actually, birds can control this behavior and do so on purpose. Since parts of the food they eat, like hair and bones, are not able to be digested (broken down into very, very tiny parts) it's a simple way to get rid of this material. Although owls are probably best known for doing this, many birds can and do regurgitate undigestible parts of their food.
