![]() The Peterson Art Gallery features a unique combination of Roger Tory Peterson original paintings, as well as artifacts from our Peterson Collection. Located adjacent to our main lobby and Nature Store, the Peterson Gallery gives visitors a chance to see pieces from the Collection that are not always on public display.
Some of the most significant pieces currently on view in the Peterson Gallery include a first edition of the Peterson Field Guide, as well as an original plate from the book, "Herons and Bitterns". Another piece of interest is is the "Flycatchers" plate, which was the last original that Peterson was working on at the time of his death on the morning of July 28, 1996.
We hope you enjoy these interesting, beautiful pieces from our Collection. We try to bring out new pieces to display as we can so that our visitors get a rare glimpse of the many artifacts and original works that we work to preserve and share here at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute.
